Rider Biomechanics

Suzanne Galdun

Rider Biomechanics Coach • Mary Wanless Accredited "Ride With Your Mind" Instructor • Dressage Clinician • Former NARHA Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor

Suzanne Galdun is a rider biomechanics specialist and founder of Positively Dressage, based in the Chicago suburbs. One of only thirteen coaches in the US accredited by Mary Wanless in her Ride With Your Mind method, Suzanne coaches riders from grassroots to international FEI level, with a focus on precise, feel-based biomechanical change.

Suzanne Galdun is the founder of Positively Dressage and one of the most distinctive rider biomechanics coaches in the United States. She is one of only thirteen coaches in the country accredited by Mary Wanless in her Ride With Your Mind method, having studied under Mary for over 12 years. Her work focuses on helping riders identify and change the specific patterns in their own bodies that are limiting their horses, using exercises, imagery, and hands-on tactile feedback to create sensory-specific, repeatable change.

Based in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, Suzanne has become a widely sought-after clinician, teaching riders and horses at all levels. She coaches international FEI riders including Lauren Sprieser and JJ Tate, as well as their students at clinics throughout the country. In 2023 she was a featured presenter at Equine Affaire Ohio, delivering both riding clinics and unmounted interactive lectures. She has also co-taught symposiums with JJ Tate, combining biomechanics and classical training in formats that draw strong responses from both riders and auditors.

Suzanne is a former NARHA certified therapeutic riding instructor and has presented multiple clinics at PATH therapeutic centers, including at a regional conference. She continues her own education in rider biomechanics, equine and human anatomy, and hoof care — expanding the tools she brings to every coaching session. Her approach is accessible to every level of rider while remaining precise and evidence-informed.
