Lisa Hellmer is a USDF Bronze, Silver, and Gold Medal dressage trainer and the head trainer at LCH Equestrian in Ocala, Florida. Her credentials include the Silver USEF Para Dressage Coach certification, and she served as the USEF Para Dressage Development Coach for Team USA from 2022 to 2023 — part of the inaugural group of Para Dressage coaches certified through the USEF's coaches program directed by USA Team Coach Michel Assouline.
Lisa graduated Summa Cum Laude from Johnson & Wales University in 2010 with a Bachelor's degree in Equine Business Management and Riding. She is also a USPC Traditional B graduate from Old North Bridge Pony Club in Massachusetts. After completing her degree, Lisa worked at the Hanoverian Verband in Germany, where she focused on starting and training young horses and moving them through breed inspections — experience that gave her a strong foundation in developing young equine athletes.
She went on to work with top trainers in the Wellington and Ocala areas, where she built her training career. LCH Equestrian hosts a range of clinics and currently Lisa works in partnership with Bill McMullin of McMullin Dressage. With over a decade of training experience, Lisa is known for developing high-performing horses and riders, with a particular strength in para dressage.
